Due to changes in how the South West Essex Community Education Trust has promoted local governance, please note that any local school policies that were agreed before 31 December 2017 should be read alongside this statement. Any references to a ‘local governing body’ within a policy now refers to the senior leadership team of the academy and where reference is made to a link governor role, these may or may not exist in the new arrangement.  Clarifications required, should be sought from the Headteacher.  As policies are reviewed as part of the school’s own Policy Review Schedule, wording will be brought up to date.  Any policies reviewed and agreed after 1 January 2018 will reflect the new governance arrangements.  Hard copies of policies are available at request from the school office.
